For cities and infrastructure managers

A clear view for maintenance planning and city operations

CAMAN gives road managers and city organisations information on the state of their area and on traffic. Findings from regular drives and data from fixed cameras help set maintenance priorities, document changes and plan traffic measures. Connected to your existing systems, the results feed each team’s everyday work.

Where it helps

Information for each team

  • Roads and pavements

CAMAN locates damage and keeps the history of its captures. Managers get a basis for judging the extent and priority of repairs.

  • Technical services and collection

Recordings document the state of collection points and selected work on the round. They help settle complaints and check the services performed.

  • Public space and inspection

A register of objects and the recordings of repeated passes give an overview of the places you observe. Integration allows a comparison with the city’s own registers.

  • Traffic planning

CAMAN Static provides statistics for traffic planning, and alerts to selected incidents for day-to-day oversight.

Maintenance and integrations

A basis for repairs and capacity planning

CAMAN documents the damage and where it is. Connected to your maintenance, budgeting and financial systems, this data can be used to estimate the cost of repairing a pothole or a section, prepare a work order and plan people, equipment and material.

  1. Finding

    Its position and image record.

  2. Review

    An operator assesses the extent.

  3. Costing and task

Data, repair method and price lists.

  4. People and material

    Planned in the connected systems.

Costings and capacity bookings depend on the integration, the data available and your organisation’s rules.

City records

Construction activity in the context of city records

In developmentThe construction activity detection and the HELIOS ERP integration are in development.

CAMAN Mobile captures scaffolding, building material and other visible signs of construction work. Records with a place and time give city staff a basis to check the activity and follow its progress.

Integration with the city’s records, for example through the HELIOS ERP, lets staff compare a finding with the data on the property and the works on record. A possible mismatch raises a request for review. An authorised officer can check the registered state of the property, the related tax data and any notices or permits, and decide what happens next.

  1. Visible signs of works

    Captured on a regular route.

  2. Matched to a property

Position and the map data available.

  3. Compared with HELIOS

Property data and works on record.

  4. Request for review

A city officer decides what happens next.

Repeated passes give an image history of how the works progress. A detection alone does not decide that a building is unauthorised.

Traffic

Traffic data for planning and dispatch

Fixed cameras add traffic counts, traffic composition and alerts to selected incidents to the mobile collection. The detections follow the place observed and the cameras available.

Data ownership

Your data stays under your control.

Depending on the project, CAMAN runs on-premise, in the cloud or as a hybrid. Where the data is kept, who can access it and who is responsible for what are set by the deployment model. The city can own the whole system, from the vehicle units to the analysis server, or buy the results as a service; the contract sets out its rights to data and outputs.
